TCL North America Warranty & RMA Policy

General Warranty Information

This limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for all new TCL Product Models including LCD/LED Televisions, Sound Bars, and Appliances such as Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Air Purifiers, and Robot Vacuums. The warranty applies to the original owner of a TCL product when purchased as new from an Authorized Dealer of TCL brand products in the United States .

Warranty Periods

Non-Commercial Use

For non-commercial use, the warranty period is one (1) year from the date of purchase or delivery for both parts and labor .

Commercial Use

For commercial use, the warranty period is six (6) months from the date of purchase or delivery for both parts and labor. Commercial use is defined as using the product in a business environment, for institutional purposes, or for other commercial purposes like rentals .

How to Get Service

Prior to submitting a warranty request, you must get troubleshooting assistance and prior approval from a TCL representative. To initiate a request, contact TCL Customer Support by visiting support.tcl.com/contact-us with your product type, model number, serial number, and ZIP code ready. If service is required, the service location and method are at the sole discretion of TCL .

  • Televisions 43-inches and smaller: Will either be repaired at an Authorized TCL Service Center or directly exchanged for a new or refurbished/re-certified unit .
  • Televisions 44-inches or larger: Will either be repaired or directly exchanged at an Authorized TCL Service Center or via in-home service .
  • Sound Bars and Appliances: Will either be repaired or directly exchanged at an Authorized TCL Service Center or via in-home service .

Proof of purchase from an Authorized Dealer showing the product is within the warranty period is required to obtain service. You are responsible for transportation costs to the service center , but TCL will pay for return shipping to a United States address only. PRE-AUTHORIZATION MUST BE OBTAINED before sending any product to a service center or obtaining in-home repair services .

What Your Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Units sold in “As-Is”, “Used”, “Factory Reconditioned”, “Factory Re-Certified”, or “Refurbished” condition .
  • Damage caused by transportation or handling from a Retailer .
  • Customer instruction, installation, or service calls to your home .
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, insects, normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, faulty installation, or power line surges .
  • Units with unreadable or missing original factory serial numbers .
  • Batteries .
  • A unit purchased or serviced outside of the United States .
  • Acts of nature or God.
