Sony Warranty and RMA Policy

Sony Electronics Inc. warrants professional products against defects in material or workmanship with coverage periods varying significantly by product category and model series.

Standard warranty coverage includes: Labor - For a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, Sony will, at no charge, repair this Product if determined by Sony to be defective. Parts - For a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase Sony will, at no charge, supply new or rebuilt replacements for parts determined by Sony to be defective. Territory - Warranty coverage is only valid within the United States, excluding territories.

Extended warranty periods for specific products include: Studio Cameras (HDC Series, Control Units, HXC-FB80 Series, Box Cameras) - Two (2) years labor and parts. PTZ Cameras vary by model: BRC/SRG/EVI Series receive One (1) year labor and parts (except Camera Block warranted for two years), BRC-X400 series receive Two (2) years, while SRGX400/SRGX120/SRGXB25/SRGXP1 and related models receive Five (5) years labor and parts.

Installation Audio products (MAS-A100, SLS-1A) receive Five (5) years labor and parts. Live Production Switchers and ELC (MVS Series, ICP Series, MKS Accessories, ELC Series, XVS Series, MLS series) receive Two (2) years labor and parts.

Display products have varying coverage: FW/FWD Series receive Three (3) years labor and parts, FWD /AL models and FWD-XA95L receive One (1) year with Advance Exchange, FW-BZ40L/BZ50L/BZ53L series receive Five (5) years with Advance Exchange. Professional monitors (BVM/PVM/SRM/LMD/BKM Series) receive Three (3) years, while LMD-DM Series receive Five (5) years labor and parts (except panel warranted for five years or 30,000 hours, whichever occurs first).

Projector warranties include: VPL-FHZ/FWZ/PHZ/PWZ/CWZ Series Laser Projectors receive Five (5) years or 12,000 hours (whichever occurs first) with Advanced Exchange, VPL-C/D/E/F/M/P/S Series Lamp Projector Products receive Three (3) years with Advanced Exchange (except lamp which has ninety (90) day warranty), SRX-R Series receive Two (2) years on-site labor and parts.

During the labor warranty period, Purchaser will either return the defective Product freight prepaid, or deliver it to a Sony Service Center or authorized service facility. Sony will return the repaired Product freight prepaid to Purchaser. Sony is not obligated to provide a substitute unit during the warranty period or at any time.
